RAD systems operate on broadcast band frequencies and must be licensed by OFCOM; they are powerful enough to cover very large venues as diverse as Arsenal Football Stadium and Sussex County Cricket Ground.
Aural Aide systems for smaller venues are licence-exempt, contained in a flight case and completely portable.
